Maryland Terrapins Beat Duke, 79-72 Riots, Police Crowd Control on Route 1

After the Maryland Terrapins beat Duke, 79-72, a crowd of Terrapins fans gathered on Route 1, took down a traffic sign and rocked a bus. Police in riot gear moved in to clear people from the streets. Police officers on horses used shields to physically push people back.



College Park, Maryland: University of Maryland students and fans clashed with riot police in College Park, Md., after celebrating the basketball win over rivaled Duke University. Erica Hill reports.

No injuries reported, but witnesses report police used non-lethal sandbag shotguns, batons,shields and tear gas.
